چکیده

Differential cross sections were measured at E, = 35 MeV for the i3C(p, n) and “C(p, p’) reactions leading to the four low-lying states in the mirror nuclei i3N and ‘%. In addition, the analyzing powers were measured for the 13C(p, p’) reaction. The data are generally well accounted for by DWBA calculations except for the 13C(p, ~‘)‘~C(3.09 MeV, f’) reaction, for which the calculations cannot even reproduce the qualitative features of the data. A comparison of the (p, n) and the (p, p’) results suggests that the isoscalar part of the ‘3C(g.s.,f-) + 13C(3.09 MeV, &+) transition is not correctly described by currently available shell-model wave functions. E NUCLEAR REACTIONS 13C(p, n), (p, p’), E = 35 MeV; measured u( 0), A( 0). 13C level deduced transition isoscalar component. Enriched target. DWBA analysis.

Heavy-ion charge exchange in the eikonal approximation

In high-energy collisions (E,,, > 50 MeV/nucleon) the eikonal approximation provides a transparent description of heavy-ion exchange reactions. The formalism is applied to the reaction ‘3N(‘3C, 13N)13C at 70 MeV/nucleon. The relative contributions of pionand rho-exchange are determined. It is found that heavy-ion reactions are more sensitive to the one-pion exchange component of the interaction...

Coupling and higher - order effects in the 12 C ( d , p ) 13 C and 13 C ( p , d ) 12 C reactions

Coupled-channel calculations are performed for the 12C(d,p)13C and 13C(p,d)12C reactions between 7 and 60 MeV to study the effect of inelastic couplings in transfer reactions. The effect of treating transfer beyond Born approximation is also addressed. The coupling to the 12C 2+ state is found to change the peak cross section by up to 15%. Effects beyond Born approximation lead to a significant...

Comparison of Copper-61 Radioisotop Production Yield via Reactions of 64Zn(p,α)61Cu, natZn(p,x)61Cu, 61Ni(p,n)61Cu, and natNi(p,x)61Cu in Hospital Cyclotron using TALYS, EMPIRE, and MCNPX Nuclear Codes

Background & Aims: Copper-61 (61Cu) is a radioisotope with a half-life of 3.33 hours which decays to nickel-61 isotope byβ+  emission (61%) or electron capture (39%). This radioisotope can be used in the evaluation of the blood supply of the heart and low-oxygen cancer tissues imaging with PET. 61Cu is mainly produced by bombarding zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co) targets in medium cyclot...

طراحی و بهینه‌سازی طیف نوترونی برای درمان تومورهای عمیق مغزی به روش BNCT با کاهش آسیب رسیده به پوست

Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is an effective method for treatment of deep seated brain tumors. This method consists of two stages: injection of boron compound in the patient body, and then irradiation of the region tumors with the neutron beam. It allows for delivery of high linear energy transfer (LET) radiation (particles 4He and 7Li nuclei) to tumors at the cellular level whilst avoi...

Asymptotic normalization coefficient from the 12 C ( 7 Li , 6 He ) 13 N reaction and the astrophysical 12 C ( p , γ ) 13 N reaction rate

Angular distribution of the 12C(7Li,6He)13N reaction at E(7Li) = 44.0 MeV was measured at the HI-13 tandem accelerator of Beijing, China. Asymptotic normalization coefficient (ANC) of 13N → 12C + p was derived to be 1.64 ± 0.11 fm−1/2 through distorted wave Born approximation (DWBA) analysis. The ANC was then used to deduce the astrophysical S(E) factors and reaction rates for direct capture in...
